All those day are gone when a Chef was refereed to as a BAWARCHEE. Today the entire world looks at a Chef with respect and honour. The status of a Chef is considered to be equivalent to that of a doctor or an engineer. Might not be the scenario in India, but if you travel towards the west a Chef's salary is same as that of a doctor, CA, or an IT engineer. The trend is coming soon in India as well. Chefs have excelled in the world of culinary arts. It is their contribution towards the society for Good Health and Nutrition. Today Chicken Tikka Masala is considered to be the national dish of UK. This all has been possible because of contribution of a bunch of Indian Chefs towards the world of culinary. Most importantly the credit should go to our very own Chef Imtiaz Qureshi who is a guru of all of us who are proud Indian Chefs.
It was a moment of pride for all of the Chefs not only in India but from all over the world when our president Mr. Pranab Mukherjee announced the award to our beloved chef. This award has been honoured to him for his excellence and contribution to the culinary world. The master Chef from the ITC group of hotels have taught us the authentic way of making delicious Indian food with deep emphasis on Kebabs & Biryanis. I have not been trained directly under him but, my gurus were his chelas. This has happened for the first time in the history of India, that a Chef has recieved this award.
The entire hospitality fraternity is exited about the news.
